Rolled wire
Rolled wire means rolled round-shape steel with diameter of 5 to 10 mm. The rolled wire can be of welding, telegraphic, and rope type. It is used for construction applications, for manufacturing of metal products and for other purposes. Round-shaped steel under GOST 2590-71 is rolled on wire-making mills and has the following diameter: 6.0, 6.3, 7, 8.0, or 9.0 mm under tree grades of accuracy: А — high precision with diameter tolerance extremes +0.1; -0.2 mm; B — particular precision (+0.2; -0.5 mm); C — regular precision (+0.3; -0.5 mm). Out-of-roundness (difference between the biggest and the smallest diameter) should not exceed half of total diameter tolerance extremes.
Round-shaped rolled wire of telegraphic type under GOST 4231-70, used for further wire drawing used for air communication lines and multi-wire power transmission lines, is rolled to diameter 5.5, 6.0, 6.5, or 7.0 mm. The diameter tolerance extremes are ±0.5 mm.
Round-shaped rolled wire of rope type rolled to diameter 5.5, 6.0. 6.5, 7.0, 8.0, 9.0, or 10 mm, is used for manufacturing of rope wire. Depending on quality and application the rope-type rolled wire can be of three quality grades: OK — commercial quality rolled wire with diameter tolerance extremes ±0.5 mm; KK — quality rolled wire (±0.4 mm); VK — high-quality rolled wire (±0.3 mm).
Rolled wire made of welding steel and used for welding wire manufacturing, is rolled to diameter 5.5; 6.0; 6.5 mm with diameter tolerance extremes +0.3, -0.4 mm and out-of-roundness 0.4 mm.
Rolled wire made of carbon steel of commercial quality under GOST 14085-79 is made in two grades: P — intended for wire drawing; S — used in delivery condition for building reinforcement bars, packaging and other applications.
Except for the products specified herein the wire rolling mills are able to produce other kinds of rolled wire under various technical specifications.
Our company is ready to consider supply of rolled wire of any required size under any applicable GOST, specification, or international standards.
